Our Story
Hold Fast Film Co. was founded by David Brown and Lucas Walker. Their friendship and collaboration began a bit earlier, when they met while working for South Park Studios. In early 2014 the duo was approached by Expak Logistics LLC to create an animated sequence for their webpage. In the months following Lucas and David were approached twice more, leading to the creation of a viral commercial for Anonymess, a messaging app, and the beginnings of a PSA for The Butterfly Housing Company, an on going project. Recognizing the obvious demand for an entity to service independent clients they established Hold Fast - an artistically driven small firm offering quality creative work to companies with limited in house resources.
Aside from founders David and Lucas, our extended family includes composers Vinny Iannelli, a graduate of NYU, and Greg Hoffman, a graduate of UC Berkeley, sound engineer/designer John Aspinall, a graduate of CalArts with a masters from McGill University in Montreal. Also, still photographers Matt Mullholland, a graduate of NYU and Ariell Brown, a graduate of CalArts, and producer/administrator/wife Jak Kraus, a graduate of OTIS College of Art + Design.
